1. Eligibility:

  • You must have an honours BSc in Biomedical Sciences, Biological Sciences, Public Health, or equivalent, or a professional degree (BScN, DVM, MD).
  • If your degree doesn’t focus on biology or health, you’ll need to complete the PATH*3610 Principles of Disease course by the end of your first semester.
  • A B+ average is required for an honours BSc or a B- average for a professional degree (BScN, DVM, MD).

2. All post-secondary Transcripts

  • Unofficial transcripts from all post-secondary educational institutions (including transcript/grading legends) in English.

3. Statement of Interest

  • Submit a one-page statement explaining your career goals in public health. (최대 한페이지, 12pt 글꼴, 한줄 간격, 1인치 여백)

4. English Language Proficiency : ( English Language Proficiency | Graduate & Postdoctoral Studies (uoguelph.ca)

  • IELTS ACADEMIC :  Minimum Overall Score 6.5
  • TOEFL iBT : Minimum Overall Score 89 ( Each 21 ) 
  • PTE-A : Minimum Overall Score 60 ( Each 60 )

5. Resume

  • Describes previous experience, but focuses on previous public health exposure and interactions

6. Two Letters of Reference

  • Both academic and professional letters of reference are acceptable, although it is strongly advised that at least one academic letter of reference is provided.

★ Timeline:

  • International Applicants to the Fall 2025 competition must be received by December 1st, 2024 at 11:59 PM(EST). You will then have a grace period of 10 business days to upload the required application documents. The international application document deadline for the 2025 competition is December 15th, 2024 ar 11:59 (EST).

◎ Duration:

  • Typically, five consecutive semesters of full-time study.
    Full-time students take three courses per semester for four semesters (12 courses in total).
    Includes a Public Health Capstone and a 12-16 week Public Health Practicum.
    └ The Public Health Capstone in the MPH program is a culminating course designed to integrate and apply the knowledge and skills you've gained throughout the program. It typically involves a final project where you address a real-world public health issue, using data and insights from your coursework and practicum experience.
  • In this program, the capstone project involves creating a poster and a public presentation based on the data you gather during your Public Health Practicum. The goal is to demonstrate your cumulative understanding of public health concepts and your ability to apply them to practical challenges. The capstone course allows you to showcase your expertise and communication skills, making it a critical part of your MPH experience.


◎ Electives:

  • You must complete two courses from a restricted electives list and two additional electives (either from the list or elsewhere in the graduate calendar).


◎ Fast-track Option:

  • If you wish to complete the program in four semesters, you can add one elective to each of your Fall and Winter semesters.

  • A practicum is required after completing at least six courses, culminating in a poster and public presentation.
